Formed in 2002 in Birmingham, Editors built their sound on shadowy guitars, a taut rhythm section and Tom Smith’s baritone. From The Back Room and An End Has a Start to the synth-lit turns of In This Light and on This Evening, the band has kept moving without losing its pulse. After the departure of Chris Urbanowicz, Justin Lockey and Elliott Williams expanded the palette, opening onto the atmospheric lines of The Weight of Your Love, In Dream and Violence. With the arrival of Benjamin John Power, 2022’s EBM pushed further into electronic textures and an industrial-leaning drive.

On 5 March 2027, Editors bring this evolution to O2 Apollo, Stockport Road, Manchester. The set leans into the dialogue between early guitar-led tension and the newer synth-forward charge, baritone hooks cutting through tight, metronomic pulses. Catalogue staples share space with EBM-era surges, recast for the stage with layered electronics, sharp drums and a darker pop undercurrent. Two decades of British indie distilled into a live show that favors momentum and contrast.
