Info

Bastille land at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on 11 July 2026 for a set that traces their path from indie beginnings to sleek synth-pop. Formed in London in 2010 around singer and songwriter Dan Smith, the quartet with Kyle Simmons, Will Farquarson and Chris Wood moves between indie pop, pop rock and electronic textures. Bad Blood (2013) and its breakout Pompeii opened the door to bigger stages, followed by Wild World and the nocturnal atmospheres of Doom Days. Give Me the Future sharpened their electronic edge, while the more acoustic-leaning & (2024) brought the focus back to storytelling. Expect a live journey that threads older singles with newer material and a handful of collaborations.

Opening the night, Nectar Woode brings a blend of neo-soul, folk, jazz and gospel shaped by her Ghanaian-British roots. Raised in Milton Keynes, she writes from everyday experience, favouring clear melodies and a warm, nuanced voice. Her first tracks took shape across the UK’s independent soul and jazz circuits, from small venues to festival stages, where her intimate songwriting keeps close contact with the crowd. Off stage, she highlights underrepresented artists via the Women in Jazz show on Soho Radio, a commitment that echoes in the openness of her live sets.
