T!Lt: Sessa

On October 9, 2026, Sessa, aka Sergio Sayeg, arrives at sPAZIO211 in Turin. Born in São Paulo and based in New York, he brings to the stage a songwriting that looks back to the late-1960s tropicalists and puts them in dialogue with rock, jazz, samba, and soul. Since his 2019 debut he has built a sober, intimate universe centered on acoustic guitar, Afro-Brazilian percussion, and carefully crafted vocal lines, where the echo of late-’70s MPB meets reflections of psychedelic soul à la Sly Stone or Shuggie Otis.

With Pequena Vertigem de Amor he has broadened his scope, making his repertoire more rhythmically flexible and attentive to choral arrangements, without losing the minimalist imprint that distinguishes him. In concert these elements intertwine in pieces that breathe—between essential melodies, a flowing pulse, and a measured use of dynamics. The guitar leads the narrative alongside the percussion, while the voice enters and withdraws like an instrument in its own right, opening different spaces and colors with each passage.

A set that traverses contemporary Brazilian song, bringing together popular tradition and contemporary curiosity in a spare form that remains open to cross-pollination.
