Zebrahead

On December 4, 2026, Zebrahead will take the stage at the Garage in Saarbrücken. Formed in La Habra, California in the mid-1990s, the band blends pop-punk, melodic punk rock and rap-rock into songs that thrive on the switch between rapped verses and sung hooks. At its core Ali Tabatabaee (vocals), Ben Osmundson (bass) and Ed Udhus (drums) form the backbone; on guitar and co-vocals there have been several chapters over the years— from Justin Mauriello through Matty Lewis to Adrian Estrella—adding nuances to the songwriting without abandoning the basic idea of fast tempos and catchy choruses.

From Waste of Mind (1998) and the early milestones Playmate of the Year (2000) and MFZB (2003), the discography extends through Broadcast to the World (2006) and Phoenix (2008) to Get Nice! (2011), Call Your Friends (2013), Walk the Plank (2015) and Brain Invaders (2019). Over time punchier guitars, small ska-punk detours and collective singalongs have come more to the fore. On tour the band was a regular presence at the Vans Warped Tour and has repeatedly toured Europe and Japan, mostly playing clubs and festivals, with occasional collaborations—such as with the Japanese act Man With A Mission. In short, this is a hybrid of rap and punk performed by a band that has, for years, known how to bring it all together on stage.
