Xandria

German symphonic metal outfit Xandria plays Klub Zaścianek in Kraków on 14 October 2026. Founded in Bielefeld by guitarist and keyboardist Marco Heubaum, the band grew from dark, atmospheric rock into a clearly symphonic approach: melodic riffs, layered keys and orchestration, with female vocals out front. Early albums like Kill the Sun, Ravenheart and India set the tone; with Neverworld’s End and Sacrificium, then Theater of Dimensions, Xandria affirmed a sound that mixes heaviness and sweeping arrangements.

After several line-up shifts, the group returned in 2022 with singer Ambre Vourvahis and released The Wonders Still Awaiting in 2023. The vocals here step away from a strictly operatic register for a more varied grain, while keeping the grand symphonic backbone. On stage, Xandria stitches older staples to recent tracks, balancing dense guitars and orchestral layers with choral touches and electronic textures. Shaped by touring alongside Epica, Kamelot or Delain, the live set leans on Heubaum’s songwriting and Vourvahis’s range for an update on the band’s signature blend.
