Bolden. brings the Who You Really Are. Tour 2026 to Théâtre Beanfield in Montréal on 10 October 2026. Formed in the UK in 2024, the duo of Reuben Barrett and Catherine Rannus moves between contemporary jazz, house and electronic music, borrowing its name from Buddy Bolden to carry that legacy into the present. Barrett’s self-taught, rhythm-led instinct meets Rannus’s more classical training; both are multi-instrumentalists who switch roles throughout the show. Saxophone and flute lines weave through keyboards, guitar, drum kit, voice and electronics, building grooves that leave space for improvisation without settling into a strict club format. On stage, textures shift and themes return over steady pulses, keeping the music open yet focused. After a run of singles, Bolden. released the album Would appear to be jazz, a statement of intent that frames their live approach: melodic motifs, improvised passages and house-driven momentum sharing the same space. In Montréal, the duo brings that flexible, played-through energy to Théâtre Beanfield.
