Oliver Tree

On 10 September 2026 Oliver Tree brings his hybrid of alternative-pop, rock and electronic textures to Komplex 457 in Zurich. The Santa Cruz–raised musician writes compact songs with memorable hooks that swing between ironic storytelling, guitar-driven energy and danceable beats. After early releases as Tree and a break for his studies, he relaunched in 2016 through collaborations with Whethan; "When I’m Down" paved the way for a string of tracks that casually blend pop, indie and hip‑hop. On stage Oliver Tree plays with characters and costumes, draws on the visual gags from his self-written and often co-directed clips, and favors contrasts over effects: angular riffs, light melodies and a beat that pushes forward. The setlist crosses his milestones: Ugly Is Beautiful (2020), the country‑tinged record Cowboy Tears (2022) and Alone in a Crowd (2023), plus the Alien Boy EP (2018) and earlier songs. Features with Little Big, Robin Schulz, David Guetta, BoyWithUke and Diplo reflect his affinity for pop, rock and club scenes.
