Info

On 21 August 2026, Moby comes to IMMA, the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin. Born Richard Melville Hall in New York and raised in Connecticut, he emerged from the early 90s club scene with techno and house releases like Go, before stringing together albums that moved between rave pulse, ambient textures and pop-led electronics. Everything Is Wrong set the tone, the rock detour of Animal Rights followed, then Play shifted the landscape with gospel and old blues samples folded into downtempo and trip hop frameworks. The next chapters, from 18 and Hotel to Wait for Me and Destroyed, kept that back-and-forth between dancefloor momentum, melancholic songs and widescreen instrumentals.

Since moving to Los Angeles, Moby has leaned into contemplative projects such as Long Ambients 1: Calm. Sleep., while continuing collaborations across pop, rock and soul, and scoring for film and TV. With Reprise, he revisited key tracks through an orchestral lens. On stage in Dublin, expect a fluid set that threads his club roots with introspective songwriting and atmospheric experiments, drawing on early singles, turn-of-the-millennium staples and later ambient pieces for a live journey that maps his three-decade catalogue without nostalgia.
