Eagles of Death Metal

Eagles of Death Metal land at The Academy, Dublin on 25 November 2026 with their desert-bred take on rock’n’roll. Formed in the late 90s in Palm Desert by singer-guitarist Jesse Hughes alongside multi-instrumentalist Josh Homme, the project channels garage energy and classic swing into sharp, hook-ready songs. On stage, EODM keeps it direct: taut riffs, quick tempos, call-and-response refrains and a rotating lineup built around Hughes, whose twang and clipped guitar lines set the pace.

The set draws across their catalogue, from the raw charm of Peace, Love, Death Metal and the bite of Death by Sexy to the strut of Heart On and the punch of Zipper Down, with room for a few handpicked covers from their 2019 collection. It’s rock meant to move: short, unfussy tracks, grooves that lock in fast, and a streak of dry humor that runs through the show. Two decades on, EODM’s formula stays clear and effective, trading frills for feel and leaving space for the crowd to clap, chant and lean into the chorus.
