Chasing Abbey

Chasing Abbey bring their blend of pop, hip-hop and club-ready electronics to Vicar Street, Dublin, on 17 September 2026. Formed in Tullamore by three longtime friends, the trio first broke through with self-produced singles and steady Irish radio play; That Good Thing in 2017 gave them national traction. Since then, they’ve shaped a style where melodic vocals and agile rap flows ride crisp, driving beats, with refrains built for the stage.

Their lyrics stay close to everyday life, relationships and the social scenes of Irish youth, while the production keeps opening up. The Odyssey Project EP in 2018 set a first milestone, followed by a run of 2020s singles where traditional Irish melodies surface inside club-leaning arrangements. Oh My Johnny (Banks of the Roses) marks that turn, folding familiar airs into a contemporary palette without losing their urban-pop and melodic-rap bearings.

At Vicar Street, the set connects these chapters: early singles alongside newer, folk-tinged cuts, with choruses and percussive drops shaped for a live room.
