Info

Australian band Tonight Alive brings its mix of melodic pop punk, punk rock energy and alternative textures to Button Factory in Dublin on 21 May 2026. Formed in Sydney around vocalist Jenna McDougall with Whakaio Taahi (guitar), Cam Adler (bass), Jake Hardy (guitar) and Matty Best (drums), the group set its foundations with two self-released EPs in 2010. Debut album What Are You So Scared Of? (2011) marked the tone, followed by The Other Side (2013), which tightened the songwriting around structured hooks and a more introspective edge. Limitless (2016) opened the palette toward a broader alt-rock sound, while the standalone track The Edge appeared on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 soundtrack. Underworld (2018) returned to a guitar-centered approach, darker and more personal, reflecting the band’s shifting phases on record and on stage.

Also on the bill, Greywind, the Killarney brother-and-sister duo of Steph O’Sullivan (vocals) and Paul O’Sullivan (guitar), moves between alternative rock, emo and melodic pop punk. Their songs lean on clear-cut choruses, dense guitars and writing that privileges emotional tension over showmanship. Emerging in the mid-2010s, they made their mark across UK and Irish stages, with debut album Afterthoughts in 2017 defining their balance of direct melody and drive. Recent tracks like Antidote continue that line, built on the interplay between Steph’s voice and Paul’s guitar.
