Pedro Sampaio

Pedro Sampaio lands at The Academy, Dublin 1 on 2 July 2026. Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1997, he cut his teeth on percussion before stepping out as a DJ, singer and producer. First noticed in 2017 with online remixes and reworks, he signed to Warner Music Brasil the following year and shaped a sound rooted in funk carioca and baile funk, designed for clubs, with short hooks and a steady dialogue between Brazilian pop and electronic music.

On stage, Sampaio blends live vocals, DJ craft and percussion-driven edits, moving from breakout single Sentadão (with Felipe Original and JS O Mão de Ouro) to newer material from his albums Chama Meu Nome (2022) and Astro (2024). Expect tight transitions, heavy drums and direct refrains, with recent highlights like Escada do Prédio featuring Marina Sena alongside crowd favourites and collaborations built for the dancefloor.

From Rock in Rio to Lollapalooza Brasil and Rock in Rio Lisboa, his festival mileage feeds a set that reads the room and channels Rio’s baile spirit to Dublin.
