Editors return to Italy for a single date: 3 February 2027 at Alcatraz in Milan. On stage they will present the new album, previewed by the new single “Call in It,” and re-centre a trajectory that for more than twenty years has run between post‑punk, indie rock, synth‑pop and electronic music.

From their debut The Back Room, nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2005, through An End Has A Start, the band led by Tom Smith has frequently shifted direction, altering the balance between dark guitars and synth‑driven arrangements. In recent years that course has widened: after 2022’s EBM, with the addition of Benjamin John Power, the new sessions spawned in the wake of Tom Smith’s solo debut, There Is Nothing In The Dark That Isn’t There In The Light, have reignited a more choral, ensemble-driven songwriting approach.

The Milan show weaves together classics from the catalogue and previously unheard material from the new album, with Smith’s deep voice guiding a set where electronic pulses and guitars chase one another. It is a moment that opens a new chapter for the band without losing the thread of their history.
