On October 22, 2026 at Lee’s Palace in Toronto, Icon For Hire, Elijah and Lauren Babic share the stage for a night that moves between alternative rock, modern metal and pop-leaning hooks.
Icon For Hire formed in Decatur, Illinois in 2007 around vocalist Ariel Bloomer and guitarist Shawn Jump, a duo that mixes pop-punk guitars, alternative metal weight and electronic textures with sung lines and rap-tinged phrasing. After early DIY EPs, the band released Scripted (2011) and a self-titled album (2013) before going independent for You Can’t Kill Us (2016), Amorphous (2021) and The Reckoning (2022). On stage, the group keeps a direct, melody-first approach anchored by Bloomer’s writing and Jump’s riff work.
From Toronto, Lauren Babic bridges modern metal, post-hardcore, metalcore, hard rock and alternative pop, shifting from clean melodies to harsher vocal techniques. Known for Red Handed Denial and the international project CrazyEightyEight alongside Jarrod Alonge, she also explores solo releases and collaborations across rock, metal and electronic music. Her voice appears in gaming too, from Zeri’s theme for League of Legends to Dead Man Walking for Remnant II.
