Osees

On July 4, 2026 at the Noumatrouff in Mulhouse, Osees are performing. Born in San Francisco around John Dwyer in the late 1990s, the band has reinvented itself several times (OCS, Thee Oh Sees, Oh Sees) before settling on an electric, high‑strung formula. Now based in Los Angeles with Tim Hellman on bass, Dan Rincon and Paul Quattrone on drums, and Tomas Dolas on keyboards, Osees blend garage, psychedelia, punk and krautrock motifs into a constant state of tension.

On stage, the twin drummers set the pace, the keyboards cut through the mix and the guitars pile up repetitive loops. The set alternates compact songs and long, hypnotic excursions, drawing on recent releases Intercepted Message and Sorcs 80 as well as band classics (Carrion Crawler/The Dream, Floating Coffin). Sharply delivered vocals, dry riffs, rhythmic surges and sudden breaks: a show built for endurance, where rock trance is constructed in layers rather than effects.
