With over 25 years in the scene, Ben Sims is a key figure in techno. Schooled on hip hop, reggae, and 80s rave, he helped shape the UK electronic landscape in the 90s. He continues to support the genre's development, staying close to its funk- and groove-led roots and nurturing new talent through his labels, radio shows, and touring.
In the booth, Sims is known for a high-energy style. Using three to five decks, he blends tracks into a dense, evolving collage of sound with faders, EQs, and effects.
