Dan Whitlam

Dan Whitlam is bringing his blend of spoken word, alternative rap and performed poetry to Cologne. On 26 October 2026 the South Londoner will take the stage at Club Bahnhof Ehrenfeld, addressing everyday life, the transition to adulthood and broader social questions, including the climate crisis. He first gained attention with short video performances in which he distilled the mindset of twentysomethings — carried by a smooth spoken-sung delivery, a soulful voice and narrative lyrics. From there he moved onto London stages and radio, contributing to BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio London, followed by tour dates across the UK and Europe.

With Strangers (Again), his debut album released in February 2026, Whitlam deepens his concept of introspective moments, social observation and understated hip-hop rhythms. Live he combines text-driven tracks with minimalist grooves and a flow that leaves space for pauses, imagery and characters. In parallel with his music, Whitlam works as an actor — appearing in Trigger Point, A Discovery of Witches and the stage production 10 Reasons Why — an experience that structures his stage presence and frames his storytelling with precision.
