Parra for Cuva

On 15 November 2026, Théâtre Beanfield in Montréal welcomes Parra for Cuva, the Berlin-based project of German producer Nicolas Demuth. Since the early 2010s he’s been shaping a melodic electronic sound that moves between deep house, downtempo and ambient. First noticed with the 2013 take on Wicked Games with Anna Naklab, he has since refined a palette of supple rhythms, fine-grained textures and contemplative harmonies across records like Majouré (2015), the collaborative Darwīš with Senoy (2016), Paspatou (2018), Juno (2021) and Mimose (2023).

On stage, Parra for Cuva navigates between live electronics and hybrid setups. The set leans on patient grooves, repeating piano figures and treated guitars, folding in motifs borrowed from various traditions within an electronica framework that favors narrative flow over impact for impact’s sake. House structures meet cinematic ambient and neoclassical colors, giving space to melody and detail without losing the pulse. This date is a chance to hear these pieces stretch, breathe and connect in real time.
