Moment Series: Xinobi

On May 30, 2026 at Cinemagic Lab in Vancouver, Xinobi takes over with a sound that sits between house, nu-disco, indie dance and pop electronics. Lisbon-based producer, DJ and musician Bruno Cardoso has been shaping this blend since the late 2000s, cofounding the Discotexas label with Moullinex and building a style where club rhythms, elastic basslines, pop-leaning melodies and post‑punk shades meet without blurring. His album 1975 pushed that approach toward more narrative, vocal-driven cuts while keeping a clear dancefloor focus, a balance he continues to extend across EPs and remixes for imprints like Anjunadeep, TAU, Watergate and MoBlack.

On stage, Xinobi switches naturally from warm, slow-burn grooves to brighter hooks and percussive momentum, threading indie dance textures through house frameworks. Along the way he has collaborated with WhoMadeWho, Jan Blomqvist, Rodriguez Jr., Lazarusman and Moullinex, and launched his own On The Quiet Records, a space for his more intimate productions. Expect a set built on nuance, dynamics and melody, designed for a close-knit room.
