Asssemblage Club

The buds are bursting. On Saturday, April 11, from 6 PM to 2 AM, at the Ateliers du Cinéma Claude Lelouch, Assemblage invites you to its first club event of the year.

Drumroll... To celebrate his 35-year career, we will welcome Jack de Marseille. A pioneer, Jack helped bring the French electronic scene to prominence as a DJ, producer and head of the Wicked Music label. Since the late 1980s he has played clubs such as Berghain, Tresor, Fabric, the Rex, Fuse, Amnesia, Pacha, Privilege, and festivals like Astropolis, Nuits Sonores, Awakenings, Time Warp, Sonar, Berlin’s Love Parade, and Yinyang (Great Wall of China). Co-founder of the first Atomix rave parties in Marseille in 1992, he also took part in the tour for Daft Punk’s first album.

If there is still today a palpable fervor for the pioneers of Chicago house, Detroit’s primal and elemental techno, or English acid, it is undoubtedly thanks to figures like Jack who know how to absorb, process and crystallize the sources—from the movement’s roots to its latest nascent offshoots.
