Kangding Ray (All Night Long)

Kangding Ray comes to LAUT in Barcelona on April 17, 2026, with an extended five‑hour all‑night set. Behind the alias is Frenchman David Letellier, based in Berlin, who since the mid‑2000s has explored the meeting point between techno, ambient and sound research. Initially associated with the Raster‑Noton catalogue, he has released works such as Stabil (2006), Automne Fold (2008), OR (2011) and Solens Arc (2014), followed by Hyper Opal Mantis (2017) and Ultrachroma (2022). His music combines meticulous textures, occasionally fragmented rhythms, deep bass and a particular sensitivity to space, moving naturally from the club pulse to more abstract, immersive constructions.

In a marathon format, Kangding Ray can unfold his narrative with slow transitions, shifts in density and plays of tension and resolution, where attention to detail coexists with the physical momentum of the beat. It’s a journey conceived for the room, one that takes time to build layers, modulate timbre and open up the dynamic field of his sound without losing the thread that sustains the dancefloor.
