On 13 May 2026 CHOKE brings two distinct signatures to EXIL in Zurich. Vladimir Dubyshkin arrives with a hybrid set that transfers his fondness for fast rhythms, simple, memorable motifs and fragmented vocals to the dancefloor. The producer from Tambov, noted for releases on Nina Kraviz's label трип (including Rural Woman, Cheerful Pessimist), operates on the boundary between hypnotic techno strictness, house-leaning grooves and a raw, direct energy. Expect compact patterns, minimal variations and a drive that builds tension piece by piece without losing the thread.
Butschi strikes a different note: trance from Leipzig that references the ’90s and incorporates new-wave shades. Fast tempos, shimmering synths and emotionally tinged voices meet crisply defined melodies, refrains and song-like structures. His tracks and sets aim less for sheer effect than for a narrative arc that combines club-ready intensity with a touch of introspection. The evening is framed by Galopp and Cortez, who open up and hold together the space between the two worlds.
