If you would describe the soundtrack of your life as wistful, nostalgic indie electronics, then you’re in the right place on Thursday, 23 April 2026 at 17:00 at Schleuse Zwei. That evening RIP Swirl will, in true shoegaze fashion, seemingly take the audience back to bygone indie days.

In his sonic palette the multi-instrumentalist and producer RIP Swirl, aka Luka Seifert, blends his work as a producer and DJ in Berlin’s club scene with his lifelong relationship to the guitar and his analog approach to recording. The result is a canvas of mood-soaked soundscapes built from fragments of shoegaze, trip-hop and nostalgic atmospheres that conjure images of teenage anxiety and late-night drives through the suburbs.

Luka Seifert usually works solo: all instruments, production and mixing originate in his home studio in Berlin. He outsourced mastering of his album Perfectly Blue to Beau Thomas (Aphex Twin, Burial), and the record features a number of guest vocalists, including Tanukichan (aka error of a.s.o.), Maria Somerville and Winter.

RIP Swirl’s music has found fans across the spectrum—from Gen Z alt-kids to techno purists. He has since become a collaborator and producer for several emerging singers, including Ydegirl from Copenhagen and Ariana Manmoon of untitled (halo).

Luka continues to work entirely from his home studio in Berlin, where he loses himself in his playground of instruments and creates without a fixed plan.
