Roméo & Juliette returns on April 21, 2028, to the Zénith Toulouse Métropole in Toulouse in a reimagined version that reunites its original duo: Damien Sargue and Cécilia Cara. Since 2001 they have given face and voice to the lovers of Verona; today they bring the perspective and confidence gained over the years. Written by Gérard Presgurvic, the show is built on a pop writing style that left its mark on the French stage, with familiar songs such as “Les Rois du monde” and “Aimer,” serving a narrative faithful to Shakespeare—between desire, confrontations and impossible choices.

This new incarnation updates stage conventions without altering the fundamentals: new costumes, redesigned scenography, a refreshed cast, while the show’s DNA remains clear—well‑known songs, a large‑scale aesthetic and a strong company dynamic. Cécilia Cara returns to Juliet, the role that launched her career, bringing a sensitivity nourished by experience. Damien Sargue reconnects with Romeo, whom he has carried on stages around the world, and rediscovers a chemistry with Cécilia that anchors the show’s major moments.
