Luc Langevin - L'illusionniste

Luc Langevin returns with L’illusionniste, a new chapter he will present at the Palais Nikaïa in Nice on February 7, 2027. A Québécois illusionist, he presents large-scale illusions imagined and developed with his longtime collaborator, magician Stéphane Bourgoin. The through-line of the show is the exploration of the tension between head and heart. Across sequences conceived as perceptual experiments, he plays with the rational and the sensitive, plants doubt, and shifts the viewer’s perspective without fully lifting the veil.

Supported by luminous scenography and music that serves the narrative, L’illusionniste progresses with precise mechanics and a tightly focused stagecraft. The devices are custom-designed, the storytelling accompanies the technique, and the whole constructs a wholly fabricated universe to distance itself from the real. Luc Langevin unfolds a magic that questions our certainties as much as it orchestrates illusion, inviting the audience to let themselves be guided by the space between the rational and the instinctive.
