Info
On 3 December 2026, Eric Serra takes over the Reims Arena in Reims to revisit live the themes that have shaped his path as a composer and multi‑instrumentalist. A long‑time collaborator of Luc Besson since the 1980s, he presents an overview of his well‑known film scores: The Big Blue, Subway, Nikita, Léon, The Fifth Element, and not forgetting GoldenEye from the Bond saga. Scores conceived for the screen that take on a new dimension on stage, between electronic pulses, clearly drawn melodic motifs and instantly recognizable sonic colours.
Surrounded by musicians accustomed to his writing, Serra highlights the materiality of sound: supple basses, finely honed programming, organic percussion and synth pads that establish the space. The arrangements strike a balance between fidelity to the themes and the freedom of live performance, with dynamics that rise, hang, and restart, making room for textures and for the architecture of the pieces.
The whole programme offers a traversal of his filmography from the musical angle, conceived for large‑scale listening. A stage format that puts these themes back at the centre, without superfluous effects, to recover the coherence of a language between electronics, acoustic breath and narrative tension — as one perceives it in cinema but here fully asserted on stage, in Reims.
