Jeremy Pelt Quartet

On July 6, 2026, at the Sunset Sunside in Paris, the Jeremy Pelt Quartet places the trumpet at the center of its music. Born in California in 1976 and trained at Berklee, Jeremy Pelt established himself in New York in the late 1990s by grounding his work in hard bop and post-bop. On stage, his crisp phrasing and full-bodied tone outline clear melodic lines, with a narrative sense that lets themes breathe and pushes improvisation to the forefront. Having passed through the Mingus Big Band and collaborated with Jimmy Heath, Vincent Herring and Ravi Coltrane, he maintains a steady connection to the acoustic tradition while opening space to more narrative forms and more meditative atmospheres.
