Girls in Hawaï

Girls in Hawaïi returns to the stage on December 12, 2026, at l’Antipode in Rennes. Born in the early 2000s near Brussels, the band has shaped an identity between indie rock and melodic pop sung in English. At the center are the vocals and guitars of Antoine Wielemans and Lionel Vancauwenberghe, supported by arrangements of bright guitars, understated keyboards and supple rhythms, with that melancholic hue that runs through their records.

On stage, Girls in Hawaïi weaves a path through its repertoire, from the early tracks on From Here to There and Plan Your Escape to the airier atmospheres of Everest. The exploration begun with Nocturne is rendered through measured electronic textures and more contemplative moods, without losing their sense of melody. Sparer moments, inherited from Hello Strange, can also make an appearance, playing on nuance and space. A live performance that is both precise and organic, where the band alternates subtle tensions, synthetic echoes and bursts of guitar, for an immersion in the Belgian alternative scene as they have represented it since their beginnings.
