Sylvie Vartan « Voilà Ma Vie »

On 12 May 2026 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, Sylvie Vartan presents Voilà Ma Vie, a masterclass revisiting a career that helped shape French pop. From her yé-yé beginnings with “Panne d’essence” in 1961 to choruses that played on every turntable, she unfolds her story close to the work of an artist, between studio, television and large stages.

Fueled by twist, rock'n'roll and Anglo‑American adaptations, Sylvie Vartan forged in the 1960s a direct, melodic signature. “La plus belle pour aller danser”, “Comme un garçon”, “La Maritza”, “2 min 35 de bonheur” and “Irrésistiblement” punctuate this period in which her way of singing, moving and storytelling became defined. The 1970s and 1980s saw her move toward more orchestrated pop without losing rock and soul momentum, with significant encounters—from Serge Gainsbourg to Charles Aznavour—and a memorable duet with Johnny Hallyday, “J’ai un problème”.

In this masterclass she shares memories of creation, working methods, arrangement choices, collaborations with lyricists and composers, and what the stage teaches over the long term. It is a lively conversation on the art of transforming an era, influences and a voice into songs that stand the test of time.
