Luiza

Luiza, a Franco-Brazilian singer born in Rennes, brings her roots and travels into dialogue through a lucid blend of Brazilian music, cumbia, Latin pop and touches of dub-electro. Trained at the conservatory, she carefully shapes vocal harmonies and relies on an instinctive practice of the harp, piano and guitar. Spotted on stage at Bars en Trans, featured on Taratata with Féfé and invited to open for acts such as Zoufris Maracas, Fatoumata Diawara and Ladaniva, she has carved out a distinctive path between clubs and festivals, supported by select collaborators. In the studio, the imprint of trumpeter Louis Thomas can be heard, as well as contributions from producers Luis Malapa, Victor Vagh and GuiB, who enrich her rhythmic and melodic textures.

On stage, Luiza performs as a trio, with a set that alternates electronic pulses, biting brass and songs in French and Portuguese. She presents the tracks from her first EP Fantastik (February 2024) and her notable collaborations, from “Demain Demain” to “Oxalá,” including “Soleil Bleu,” co-written with the duo Bleu Soleil.
