Barón Rojo

Barón Rojo performs at Sala La Riviera in Madrid on 28 November 2026. Formed in 1980 in the capital, the band established a way of understanding hard rock and heavy metal in Spanish: twin melodic lead guitars up front, direct riffs and choruses sung without detour. With brothers Armando and Carlos de Castro as the backbone, their sound moves between classic heavy metal and hard rock, and their lyrics alternate between social chronicle, cultural nods and more personal stories. Live, the band leans on that traditional, effective pulse, with a repertoire that typically revives tracks from their early records Larga vida al rock and roll, Volumen brutal, Metalmorfosis and En un lugar de la marcha, alongside cuts from later periods and staples from their tours and live albums. It’s a show focused on songs that have shaped metal in Spanish, played with the energy and precision of a band that has maintained its identity across decades of stages, lineup changes and recordings.
