Born in Sarajevo and first known as the guitarist and songwriter of Bijelo Dugme, Bregović has built a catalogue that moves from street fanfares to cinema soundtracks. On stage he strings together dance-driven grooves and minor-key laments, shifting between electric guitar, voices and a battery of winds and percussion.
The repertoire travels through widely shared songs like Kalashnikov, In the Death Car and Bella Ciao, and draws on themes written for films such as Time of the Gypsies, Arizona Dream and Underground.
