Dreamers' Circus

On 20 May 2026 at Bellevue Teatret in Klampenborg, Dreamers’ Circus brings a lean blend of Nordic folk roots and chamber‑music writing. The Copenhagen trio unites violinist Rune Tonsgaard Sørensen, pianist and accordionist Nikolaj Busk, and Swedish cittern player Ale Carr. Their repertoire draws on original pieces fed by Swedish and Danish melodies, classical‑influenced harmonies and touches of jazz and minimalism.

Live, violin and cittern trade singing lines while piano and accordion slip from delicate counterpoint into grounded grooves, letting themes open up, shift and return. Across albums like A Little Symphony, Second Movement, Rooftop Sessions and Blue White Gold, the group has moved from stripped‑down acoustics toward broader, sometimes orchestral textures. On stage that translates into music that breathes and dances, reimagined traditionals folded into new compositions, with tight interplay and a clear sense of craft at the center.
