On April 5, 2026, Heavy Rub A Dub Sunday takes over Rock n’Eat Live in Lyon. At the helm, Soul Stereo Soundsystem invites Echo Minott and Taiwan MC for a rub-a-dub and dancehall session in full sound-system configuration. Taiwan MC, a member of Chinese Man Records’ roster, alternates between English and French, toasting and rapping over digital riddims and a bass-and-drums rhythm shaped by dub culture. Echo Minott, a Jamaican singer associated with 1980s rub-a-dub, brings his vocal lines and a deejaying style tailored for versions. Heartikal Youths and Ranking Dixi support the crew with selections and mic work, circulating the energy between the decks and the audience. On the bill: versions, call-and-response, measured rewinds and a back-and-forth between classics and more recent productions, in the spirit of old-school sessions.
