On 11 August 2026 at Le Molotov in Marseille, Unearth returns with 25 years of finely honed metalcore. Born in Boston in 1998, the band forged a language in which guitar harmonies inherited from melodic death metal meet hardcore’s bite and thrash speed. From their beginnings with Above the Fall of Man and The Oncoming Storm to the recent Extinction(s) and The Wretched; The Ruinous, Unearth keeps the tension between clear melodies, tight riffs and snapping breakdowns. On stage, the raspy vocals remain intelligible, the guitars interweave and the rhythm section drives everything forward, for a set designed as much for the mosh pit as for fans of sharply cut guitars.
Employed To Serve completes the bill on the British side. Fronted by Justine Jones and Sammy Urwin, the band serves modern metal where hardcore abrasion meets a massive groove. First noticed with Greyer Than You Remember, affirmed with The Warmth of a Dying Sun and Eternal Forward Motion, ETS consolidated their course with Conquering before returning with Fallen Star, a more incisive production featuring a few notable collaborations. Live, compact riffs, heavy syncopation and shouted choruses establish a direct, unifying framework, balancing raw intensity with precision of play.
