Clément Matrat

On the occasion of the release of his new album HAAR, Clément Matrat will take over L’Antirouille in Montpellier on April 4, 2026. Inspired by the cold mist of the Scottish coasts, he opens a soundscape at the edge of the visible, where electronic abstraction meets the warmth of orchestral and organic textures. For the first time, his voice takes its place at the heart of the compositions. Whispered or sung, it links the pieces like a discreet, intimate thread, giving rhythm and breath to the whole.

On stage, HAAR unfolds in half-light, traversed by synthetic textures, instrumental layers, pianos and pulses borrowed from jazz. The machines recede in favor of a more tactile material, letting supple rhythms, wide harmonies and deliberately crafted silences emerge. The set advances in waves, between restrained tension and melodic surges, as if each motif were born from the mist only to dissolve back into it. A concert conceived as a journey, it highlights Clément Matrat’s precise writing and the new prominence he gives to his voice.
