Info

Whitechapel returns to Paris on 3 February 2027 at the Trabendo. Formed in Knoxville in 2006, the band is built around Phil Bozeman’s voice and a three-guitar lineup led by Ben Savage, Zach Householder and Alex Wade, with Gabe Crisp on bass. They are presenting Hymns in Dissonance, a concept album that echoes, in substance, This Is Exile. The story follows a cult and its dissonant hymns, each track embodying a cardinal sin. The singles ‘A Visceral Retch’ and ‘Hymns in Dissonance’ set the tone for a darker turn, carved from abrasive textures and deliberately tense harmonies.

On stage, Whitechapel works with dynamics and contrast, alternating blasts, breathers and sharp breaks, with songwriting conceived like a roller coaster. The set places the new material at its center while sliding in touchstones from their early years — Drop A riffs and nods to This Is Exile — without overlooking the developments heard on The Valley and Kin. Bozeman carries the narrative with a possessed voice, while the rhythm section locks everything into precise execution. At the Trabendo, it’s an opportunity to take in this darker, rougher chapter of Whitechapel, between occult storytelling and direct impact.
