Deer Tick lands at The Opera House in Toronto on June 21, 2026 with the rough-edged blend of indie rock, folk rock and alt‑country that has defined the Providence band since the mid‑2000s. Built around singer and guitarist John McCauley, alongside Ian O’Neil, Christopher Ryan and Dennis Ryan, the group writes in close-up, with stories that carry dry irony and a plainspoken melancholy. From War Elephant (2007), Born on Flag Day (2009) and The Black Dirt Sessions (2010), they’ve shaped a catalogue that flips between stripped acoustic songs and louder bar‑room electric cuts.
