Covertramp

Covertramp returns with a new tribute show to Supertramp on January 16, 2027, at Espace Mayenne in Laval. Six multi‑instrumentalists dive back into the pop‑rock and progressive repertoire of the 1970s and early 1980s, working the sound, arrangements and harmonies as closely as possible to the original period versions.

On the program is a set conceived as a journey through the British band’s universe, mixing rare tracks with essential hits. School, Dreamer, Goodbye Stranger, Breakfast in America, Take the Long Way Home, Fool’s Overture and Give a Little Bit follow one another alongside less frequently played numbers, offering a thorough traversal of the catalogue. The concert, 100% live, rests on precise ensemble playing between keyboards, guitars, bass, drums, saxophones and backing vocals, with a reworked lighting design to emphasize shifts in atmosphere.

On vocals, Philippe Tailleferd moves between the vocal colours of Roger Hodgson and Rick Davies, favouring the accuracy of timbres and the dynamics of the songs rather than direct imitation. The show is designed both for long‑time fans and for those who wish to rediscover Supertramp on stage in a faithful and lively rendition.
