underscores brings the Galleria - North American Chapter to The Mod Club in Toronto on June 17, 2026. The alias of San Francisco-born April Harper Grey, underscores has grown from early dubstep experiments into a pop-electronic project that folds hyperpop, pop-punk, emo and indie pop into concise, narrative songwriting. After a run of EPs including Skin Purifying Treatment, We Never Got Strawberry Cake and Character Development!, the 2021 album Fishmonger tightened the mix of abrasive guitars, chopped drums and direct melodies, followed by the Boneyard AKA Fearmonger EP. With Wallsocket in 2023 and its 2024 Director’s Cut, the sound widens to pull in rock, folk, country and shoegaze while keeping an electronic pulse. On stage, that palette turns into a compact, fast-moving set where glitchy textures rub up against clear choruses, with songs pulled across the catalogue.
