On Tuesday, 28 April 2026 at L’Antirouille in Montpellier, head for a bill where post-black intersects with psychedelic progressive black: Nature Morte and Ætheria Conscientia.
Nature Morte, a Parisian trio formed in 2015, navigates between indie rock and black metal. Hazy guitars, screamed vocals, persistent melancholy: the band builds dense textures without sacrificing nuance. After NM1, messe basse and Oddity, the trio returns with Still Life (Frozen Records, April 2026) and will likely unveil that material on stage. Having played Motocultor in 2022 and Hellfest in 2023, Nature Morte hones an immersive sound where harshness and fragility coexist, carried by a chiaroscuro wall of sound. Ætheria Conscientia, born in Nantes in 2016, pushes black metal toward progressive structures and psychedelic hues. The Blossoming, their third album released in 2024 on Frozen Records, cemented a sci‑fi universe where rapid riffs, instrumental interludes and cosmic landscapes intermingle. Live, the band weaves fresco-like compositions, full of tension and astral drift, balancing fury, heavy groove and atmospheric excursions.
