Info
On June 18, 2026 at the Théâtre Beaulieu in Nantes, Laurent Baffie presents Toc Toc, an ensemble comedy in which six patients, each struggling with an obsessive disorder or an intrusive tic, find themselves stuck in the waiting room of the renowned neuropsychiatrist Dr. Stern, who never arrives. Palilalia, Tourette’s syndrome, nosophobia, an obsession with the floor markings... The delay lengthens, conversation begins, tics and compulsions intersect, and everyone must learn to cope with one another’s disorders. True to Baffie’s writing, the situation rests on a precise verbal mechanism, controlled derailments, and a play on conventions that reveals as much as it conceals about the obsessions. Between confrontations, temporary pacts and little games to pass the time, the group ultimately invents its own rules.
Directed by Pascal Maillard, with careful attention to rhythm and the movement between characters. On stage: Mathieu Gaudin, Marie Elie, Sophie Morin, Nelly Pichotbadeaud, Kamal Rawas and Olivier Collin. A compact cast that embraces the characters’ contrasts without caricaturing them, giving each performer the space to make their voice heard.
