Info

Marillion plays Paloma in Nîmes on 24 November 2026. Formed in Aylesbury in the late 1970s, the band shaped a sound between progressive rock and more direct songwriting. From their early years with Fish and albums such as Script for a Jester’s Tear, Fugazi and Misplaced Childhood, to the shift ushered in by Steve Hogarth’s voice since 1989, their trajectory has refined toward more introspective moods without losing the sense of storytelling.

On stage, Steve Hogarth, Steve Rothery, Mark Kelly, Pete Trewavas and Ian Mosley favor long formats, seamless transitions and detailed arrangements. The set moves between classics and more recent tracks taken from Marbles, F E A R and An Hour Before It’s Dark, featuring atmospheric passages, progressive build-ups and clear choruses. Marillion has long maintained a direct relationship with its audience—born of crowdfunding practices and an embraced independence—which is evident in how the concert is put together: dynamic, nuanced and attentive to detail. An evening that spans more than four decades of music, combining rock energy with modern textures.
