André Manoukian

On January 20, 2027, André Manoukian settles in at Le Ponant in Pacé for a one-on-one encounter with his piano. A pianist, composer and author trained at Berklee College of Music, he unfolds a clear, melodic jazz, nourished by a keen sense of harmony and improvisation. His playing gently links the Eastern influences inherited from his Armenian roots, the classical heritage and contemporary colors, without showing off or grandstanding.

On stage, Manoukian lets the themes breathe, works the silences as much as the notes, and allows motifs to drift into supple improvisations, always in service of the melody. You hear the stamp of a seasoned arranger, capable of making French chanson and jazz converse without exaggeration.
