On May 23, 2026, The Strumbellas land at Bo’s Bar & Stage in Red Deer as part of the Thirty Years of Bo’s series. Formed in Toronto in 2008, they shape a blend of indie folk, alternative rock and a light country sway, built around group vocals and straightforward, sing‑along refrains. From the first steps with My Father and the Hunter and We Still Move on Dance Floors, the band defined a melodic, communal sound, sharpened on Hope with the single Spirits, then nudged toward punchier tempos on Rattlesnake.
Since 2022, principal songwriter Simon Ward has stayed off the road while Jimmy Chauveau takes the lead vocal on stage, a change that keeps the writing central and opens a new live chapter for the group. In concert, The Strumbellas lean on collective harmonies, steady grooves and concise hooks, moving between new tracks from Part Time Believer and songs that have anchored their sets over the years, with special guests joining for the occasion.
