Rise Against land at PNE Forum in Vancouver on March 29, 2026. Formed in Chicago at the end of the 1990s, the band carved a path between punk rock and melodic hardcore, driven by Tim McIlrath’s incisive vocals and the tight backbone of Joe Principe, Zach Blair and Brandon Barnes. From early releases The Unraveling (2001) and Revolutions per Minute (2003) to Siren Song of the Counter Culture (2004) and The Sufferer & the Witness (2006), their catalogue moves from rapid-fire cuts to more mid‑tempo tracks, then broadens on Appeal to Reason (2008), Endgame (2011) and The Black Market (2014). Wolves (2017) and Nowhere Generation (2021) keep that balance, with lyrics that point to social tensions, American politics and personal agency.
Destroy Boys open the night. Out of Sacramento’s DIY scene, the trio led by Alexia Roditis and Violet Mayugba blends fast, melodic punk with shades of pop‑punk, garage and grunge. After early DIY releases, the band sharpened its approach across Sorry, Mom (2016), Make Room (2018) and Open Mouth, Open Heart (2021, Hopeless Records). Their songs tackle identity, relationships, gendered violence and mental health with direct writing and sharp riffs, lining up a contemporary counterpoint to Rise Against’s veteran take on North American punk.
