Black Pistol Fire - Flagrant Act of Bliss

Black Pistol Fire bring their Flagrant Act of Bliss show to The Palace Theatre in Calgary on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Formed in Toronto and now based in Austin, the duo of guitarist-singer Kevin McKeown and drummer Eric Owen perform a stripped-down guitar-and-drums set—no bass—designed for direct, tense songs. Their blues and garage roots intersect with a lean rock’n’roll, a touch of punk and a Southern twang, with tight arrangements where rhythm leads the way.

On stage, everything rests on the interplay between saturated riffs and a very forward drum sound. The guitar lines bite, the patterns drive, the hooks hit quickly, with detours into fuzz, feedback and breaks that reignite the momentum. The set draws from their entire discography, from their debut album to Look Alive, while leaving room for more recent tracks. Special guests open the evening, then Black Pistol Fire deliver their raw, melodic showdown, conceived for the live setting and for the room.
