Ray Wilson & Band

On 25 April 2026, Ray Wilson and his band will perform at the Pumpwerk cultural centre in Wilhelmshaven. The Scottish singer first made a name for himself in the early ’90s with Guaranteed Pure, came to prominence in 1994 with Stiltskin, and in 1996 took on vocal duties for Genesis for the album Calling All Stations (1997) and the subsequent tour. He then forged his own path between rock, pop and acoustic ballads: first with Cut_ and the album Millionairhead (1999), later as a solo artist with Change (2003) and The Next Best Thing (2004). Works such as Propaganda Man (2008), Chasing Rainbows (2013) and the 2016 albums Song for a Friend and Makes Me Think of Home deepen this mix of melodic rock, subtle prog influences and more intimate arrangements.

Live, Wilson spans the spectrum between his current material and selected reinterpretations from the repertoires of Genesis and Stiltskin. The focus is on voice and songwriting, supported by a tight, well-rehearsed band that presents the songs sometimes edgier, sometimes more restrained. A set that balances energy and intimacy, bringing together the various facets of his career.
