Ray Wilson & Band: Genesis Classic

Ray Wilson & Band bring the music of Genesis back to the stage with Genesis Classic. On 19 February 2026 at the Theatre of the Town of Diepholz, the former Genesis singer will present a programme that connects well-known songs by the band with milestones from his own career. Coming out of the Scottish rock scene, Wilson first came to prominence with Stiltskin before, in 1997, recording the album Calling All Stations as Genesis’ frontman and touring with the band. Afterwards he turned his focus to his own material spanning rock, pop and acoustic ballads — among others on the albums Change, The Next Best Thing, Propaganda Man, Chasing Rainbows, Song for a Friend and Makes Me Think of Home.

Genesis Classic places melody, lyrics and voice at the forefront. Classics sit alongside more personal titles, occasionally with nods to Stiltskin, arranged for a band that covers the range between melodic rock, subtle prog-tinges and more intimate moments. Wilson uses the show to shed light on the Genesis repertoire from his perspective and to weave it together with his own songwriting imprint — concentrated, close to the song and carried by his distinctive timbre.
