CMAT, whose real name is Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson, blends pop with country, Americana and indie—melodically direct, narratively pointed, and with a tone in which irony and vulnerable openness sit side by side. On 27 March 2026 the Irish artist will be performing at the Technikum in Munich.

Her songs revolve around relationships, loneliness and the small obsessions of everyday life. Live, CMAT seeks a direct connection with the audience and employs a deliberately theatrical manner that brings the stories to the forefront without overloading the hooks. The debut album If My Wife New I’d Be Dead (2022) ranges from country-pop ballads to faster numbers; Crazymad, For Me (2023) deepens this approach as a concept centered on breakup and reflections on time.

On stage, CMAT combines traditional country harmonies, pop rhythms and distinctive choruses—a framework that leaves room for her storytelling. Expect a set that brings together older songs and newer tracks, focused on songwriting, timing and a kind of dry wit that flashes through her lyrics.
